LATEST PROJECTS

The Amazing DumpThe Amazing Dump is the result of a collaboration between Yotes (me) and Sheeky (Matthew Pelishek of Accidental Audio Productions) to provide a haven for much of the old material that used to be found here at Actionplant.com. Included in the restoration from our archives are the Bmovies, Plant-Fu, and other blasts from our admittedly bizarre past. Built on a heavily modified installation of Joomla, a popular open-source publishing platform, TheAmazingDump.com allows us the freedom and flexibility to continue providing this content, and expand on the concept, for the forseeable future.

Accidental Audio ProductionsAccidental Audio Productions is an explosive startup in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area with some hottest new talent in the country. I'm fortunate enough to know the guys and have been so impressed with their work (and apparently they with mine) that we've agreed to combine forces into a marketing juggernaut. I'm setting aside personal ambitions on the audio production side and deferring to them, and they'll be sending design work in my direction. It's a partnership we're both very excited about as their website launches.

PEAK Marketing IncPEAK Marketing is a firm that gave me my start several years ago. They recently approached me for a "freshening up" of their image and website.

The project kicked off last November with some revisions and rapidly grew to encompass work in web and print development to bring their image from a small-town sales team into the 21st century as a seriously professional marketing firm.

LATEST GEAR

We're in the process of building a modelling studio in the lower level of our current rented facility. This space will serve as a more permanent place for us do do photoshoots for commercial ventures and save us from having to continue to secure studio space on a per-client basis. The plan is to include, in addition to the main photographic studio space, a full bathroom, theater/lounge area, changing area, and facilities for use by a make-up/styling crew. It will also continue to house our business office and equipment, which is all being revamped.

We've recently acquired a new server, equipped with dual-xeon processors and four gigabyes of ram, which will prove to be a significant upgrade for our database operations. This new server will run Ubuntu 6.10 Server with Apache 2, MySQL 5 and PHP 5 in ISP Config for easy administration for both the studio and our clients.

This upgrade was for the main shared server only. Specifications for the dedicated servers remains the same.
